George Brown College Campus Store Refund & Exchange Policy
This policy applies to all purchases made at George Brown Polytechnic Campus Stores, unless otherwise stated. Please review carefully before completing your purchase.
General Conditions
• Original receipt is required for all refunds, exchanges, or store credits.
• All items must be returned in original condition, with original packaging, tags, and accessories intact.
• Refunds are issued using the original form of payment. Where a refund is not permitted, an exchange or store credit may be offered if eligible.
• All clearance items are final sale.
• All refunds and exchanges are processed at the sole discretion of the George Brown Polytechnic Campus Store team.
Final Sale – Non-refundable Items
Includes but is not limited to: Calculators, gift cards, clearance merchandise, apparel without original tags, food and beverages, special orders, custom merchandise, locks, personal care items, diploma frames, umbrellas, special collaboration merchandise, headphones/earbuds, batteries, opened technology hardware or software, opened shrink-wrapped textbooks, access codes, course packs, stethoscopes, medical supplies, and culinary tools.
Textbooks and Course Materials
Eligible exchanges or store credit only within 14 days of purchase with original receipt.
Non-returnable items include:
• Digital course materials
• Custom course materials (lab manuals, course packs, custom readers,
spiral-bound materials, test prep and exam guides)
• Textbooks showing signs of use
• Opened or unsealed packages
Apparel, Uniforms, and Footwear
• Exchange only within 14 days
• Must be unworn, unwashed, and in original packaging
Program or Material Fee Items
Items included in program or material fees are not eligible for refund, exchange, or store credit through the Campus Store. Requests must be directed to the academic program area or Registrar’s Office.
Custom Orders
All custom orders are final sale and not eligible for refund or exchange.
Clearance Merchandise
All clearance items are final sale.
Campus Store Discretion
The Campus Store reserves the right to assess all refund, exchange, and store credit requests on a case-by-case basis.
• Eligibility may be determined based on item condition, resaleability, timing of the request, and compliance with this policy.
• The Campus Store may deny, limit, or approve refunds, exchanges, or store credits at its discretion, even if an item appears to meet general return guidelines.
• This discretionary authority is intended to ensure fair, consistent, and operationally appropriate outcomes.
